Do you still feel emotionally burdened by someone from your past?

Years ago, I was judging a person in my life who hurt me deeply. I felt betrayed by him. At the time, I didn’t ever want to see him again.

Even as a teenager, I understood the importance of forgiveness. Maybe because my grandmother was religious and gave me a prayer to recite every night before bed. Maybe because I read the Bible.

So I made the decision to forgive.

But even after making that decision, I was still carrying emotions trapped inside of me that I didn’t know how to feel through.

Years later, when I was studying Spiritual Psychology, and applying the practices I was learning to my own life, I realized how heavy the judgements were.

Here’s how I define judgement:

A quick evaluation and categorization of someone as good or bad, right or wrong. Often, it stems from unresolved anger, fear, or pain.

Judgment prevents us from seeing the complexity of a situation. It can disconnect us from empathy and compassion and distort our ability to see reality as it is.

At the same time, I want to differentiate judgment from discernment.

Discernment allows us to create boundaries with people who are harmful to ourselves or others. It allows us to love some people from a distance.

Discernment often comes from inner knowing, intuition, and a relative sense of peace within. It is conscious.

Judgement, however, often resides in our unconscious.

Going back to my life, I’ve worked through layers of emotions, practiced releasing judgement and also applied forgiveness to the situation.

Now I feel much more at peace with what happened. I learned the lessons I needed to learn.

And that person is not in my life. I am loving him from a distance.

Something else I learned is that the healing journey moves in a spiral.

What that means is that I may revisit the past or at a future point, I might see this situation with even greater compassion and a wider lens.

Is there someone in your life that you are judging?

Or are you possibly judging yourself?

If you feel ready to release some of that weight, it would be an honor to support you through this process.

If you are open to it, we can also explore and clear energetic contracts that may still exist between you and another person through the Akashic Records, including patterns that may extend across lifetimes.

Here’s what one the clients I worked with had to say:

“IT HELPED ANSWER QUESTIONS I HAD BEEN CARRYING FOR OVER TWO DECADES, DESPITE EXPLORING MANY DIFFERENT THERAPEUTIC APPROACHES.

Gayane’s reading was profound and deeply meaningful…It brought me a greater sense of inner peace. Her presence and insight truly made a difference in my life.”

I believe our world would be a lot lighter and more peaceful and compassionate if each one of us released even one judgement today.
